DJ Filip Lococo’s

Sound Residence

The Official Website

Hi there. My artistic tag is DJ Filip Lococo, and, as you can see, I am a DJ. If you are reading this, you are on my official website. I was born in Zagreb, Croatia, where I spent most of my life. However, last few years, I’ve been living in Ireland. I started DJing 15 years ago.

Although I had some performances as a teenager and a few in the last decades, life always dragged me in a different direction. So, my actual occupation is a Digital Marketing Professional, but electronic music remains my hobby and passion that fills up my free space. Most of my interest is in Funky, Techno and EDM, and I could never choose just one of these styles. Rather than being a professional DJ, performing as an amateur made me more relaxed and satisfied over the years.

Nobody ever intervened in my style or commanded my choice. As a result, I had complete freedom to use all music styles as a DJ and explore them. After moving to Ireland, I finally built a website and connected my hobby with the profession.

On it, I will present the sounds of the Funk, Techno and EDM from my perspective and choice. These three styles are the core of my taste in the electronic stage. Furthermore, this is how I can open to the world and serve sounds I think you all might be interested in or at least find joyful for your headset.

The best DJ playlist – PART 2 How to orginize files

The best DJ playlist also depends on how you organize your archives. As music is an art in evolution, and the more you are in, the more you going to collect and use. As a DJ, you have to adapt to new styles and market demands, but also at the same time, you have to be able to dig into your performance history. The art of making the best DJ playlist is to have the ability to evaluate the quality of the sound, organize archives accessibility and secure your work (storage).

The best DJ playlist – Part 1. How to buy good tracks?

The best DJ playlist is the most challenging DJ work of all, and it starts with shopping. Buying tracks is the most complicated action in DJ’s life. It goes along with making the organised database or order in vinyl collections. One is impossible without another. If you can control it without making an order, then you probably have some superhero ability to coexist with chaos.

How to record a DJ set – Short Advice

First thing you gonna find out is there are much easier things to figure out than how to record a DJ set. For every DJ, this is the bottom line of their work. The front edge of their marketing. If you are struggling with it, then you have the same problem as those 99.99% DJ in the world you never heard about.
